Just like what Wimbledon means for tennis and what Monte Carlo means for Formula 1, the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel is the ultimate event for skiing. It is the absolute highlight of the World Cup Winter and ranks as one of the great classic sporting events of our time. Welcome to the Olympus of skiing heroes! Every ski fan has a glint in their eye when they talk about the Streif. The world's best downhill skiers battle against a difference in altitude of about 860 meters - one man who triumphed here in 2003 is the American Daron Rahlves. He will visit the slope with you before the race and reveal all as a former champion. On top of this, you can look over the shoulder of professional service personnel as they prepare the racing skis. At the two downhill races on the Friday and Saturday, you will watch the ski aces in action on the slopes, once at the Mausefalle and once at the Hausbergkante. In between, you can warm up in the exclusive Red Bull Energy Station, which is otherwise only reserved for athletes. On the Sunday, the World Cup Slalom on the famous Ganserlhang marks the triumphant finale. The athletes may be fighting for every hundredth of a second here, but there is plenty of time between the races for some refreshments on the Kitzbüheler party scene. Get ready for the most fascinating skiing event on the planet!
